Dental Cleanings
Our registered dental hygienists work hand in hand with our doctors to help our patients reach and maintain optimal dental health. Regular recall visits help us catch any dental issues early on before they become bigger, more costly problems for you down the road. According to the American Dental Association, you should see a dentist every 6 months to keep your smile strong and healthy. During these routine visits, your dentist will assess your dental health, take any imaging needed to ensure the health of the teeth and dental bone, and perform cleanings that will remove bacteria, tartar, and debris that has collected on the teeth and under the gum line.
Fillings
Dental fillings are done when decay has established itself in a tooth for a variety of different reasons. The most common material used for fillings is tooth colored resin composite aka “white” fillings. Commonly done under local anesthesia, our skilled doctors place these restorations on a daily basis for our patients’ needs.
Fillings are covered at a discounted rate under the Buffalo Dental Savings Plan.
Periodontal Maintenance
Periodontal Disease is one of the most common dental problems affecting nearly half the US population. Signs of periodontal disease are redness and swelling in the gums, recession and erosion of gingival tissue, and loss of the supporting dental bone verified by probing and dental x-rays. In the case of advanced periodontal disease, a deep cleaning is recommended to debride the teeth of tarter and bacteria that have stuck to the tooth below the gumline. This procedure is completed by our dental hygienists under local anesthesia for comfort. We then closely follow the improvement of the gums and supporting tissues in order to ensure our patients keep their teeth for a lifetime.
Emergency Care
Toothache? Chipped Tooth? Swelling? Call us if something comes up! We can commonly see emergencies the same day to quickly perform a procedure or diagnose a problem. For our established patients, we do offer after hours emergency care directed through our phone system. Just follow the prompts to be connected to the doctor you commonly see.
Emergency care is covered at a discounted rate under the Buffalo Dental Savings Plan.
