Dental Implants
The Modern Solution for Missing Teeth
Dental implants are the most advanced and natural-looking solution for replacing missing or severely damaged teeth. Unlike dentures or bridges, implants are securely anchored into your jawbone, offering a permanent, stable, and fully functional replacement that blends in perfectly with your natural smile.

Preperation
The process starts with a thorough consultation where we explain all of the details and determine if dental implants are the right solution for you. If implants are the right direction, we will start by taking digital scans to create a 3D model of your mouth. This imaging will allow us to create a personalized treatment plan that maps out the exact placement and angle of the implant.
If your jawbone requires strengthening or you need a tooth extraction before placement, these procedures will be discussed and scheduled accordingly.

Procedure
Dental implants are typically placed in two phases. First, a small titanium post is surgically inserted into the jawbone, acting as the root for your new tooth. This post is biocompatible and integrates naturally with the bone over time through a process called osseointegration.
After the implant site has fully healed (which can take a few months) a custom-made crown is securely attached to the implant. The result is a tooth that looks, feels, and functions just like the real thing.

Dental Implant Aftercare
Immediately following implant surgery, some swelling or discomfort is normal, but it typically subsides within a few days. Your dentist will provide you with any personalized aftercare instructions and will be available to answer any questions you may have during the healing process.
Long-term care for a dental implant is no different than caring for your natural teeth. Brush twice a day, floss daily, and keep up with regular dental checkups and cleanings.

Important Considerations for Dental Implants
Dental implants are considered the gold standard for tooth replacement due to their strength, durability, and natural appearance. With proper care, they can last a lifetime.
While implants are highly successful, they do require adequate bone density and healthy gums to support them. If you’ve been missing a tooth for some time, bone grafting may be recommended to prepare the area for implant placement.
